Equinor is a global energy company that is the largest supplier of energy to the UK, and has been operating in the UK for 40 years. Our purpose is to turn natural resources into energy for people and progress for society. By 2025, we will power more than six million UK homes from our wind farms, generating renewable electricity across the country.

We are a global offshore wind major and a pioneer in floating offshore wind. In the UK, we’re currently building the world’s largest wind farm at Dogger Bank, and are operating the world’s first floating wind farm, Hywind Scotland. We are also constructing the world’s largest floating wind farm in Norway, Hywind Tampen.

We work alongside 700 suppliers in the UK, and have invested billions in the UK in the past decades. We aim to be a leader in the energy transition by building the energy industry of tomorrow, and becoming a net zero company by 2050.

Equinor has ambitions to develop large-scale floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea, and is advancing its projects in the region. We have conducted a comprehensive site selection process and are maturing our interests through aerial surveys. We intend to work with all stakeholders to develop projects that create shared value for local communities in Wales and South West England, and initiate opportunities for the regional supply chain to advance as a competitive hub for floating offshore wind.
